Frequently asked questions

What is an airdrop?+

A crypto airdrop is a token distribution event where projects give away tokens or NFTs to early users, testers, or community members, usually in exchange for on-chain activity, quests, or holding a particular asset.

Do I need to pay to claim an airdrop?+

Never. Legitimate airdrops are free. You may need to pay small gas fees to interact with smart contracts, but the rewards themselves are always free. If a project asks for upfront payment, it is a scam.

Is AirdropAlert affiliated with the projects listed?+

No. We are an independent directory. Listings are curated by our editorial team based on verification checks — not paid placement.

How do I know a listed airdrop is safe?+

Every listing is reviewed before it goes live. That said, always do your own research, verify URLs, and never share your seed phrase with anyone.

Why are most airdrops marked inactive?+

Airdrop windows are time-limited. Once a campaign snapshot ends, we mark it inactive so the community can focus on live opportunities.
